According to the urgent website, the incident took place between Friday and Saturday at the local bank's ATM in Alsali neighborhood of Riyadh.
Riyadh police have said that 'thieves used gas to open an ATM for the first time'.
Police said that 'it was reported at dawn that an explosion was heard in the ATM. Immediately after the police team arrived on the spot, it was discovered that the thieves had escaped with a large amount of money.
Police said the investigation has been launched. The importers of CCTV cameras are being identified at ATMs.
Police sources said the thieves had poured gas into the ATM and blew it away.
