Early Thursday, the Saudi-led Arab forces intercepted a Houthi drone heading towards Saudi Arabia, shortly after the Houthi militia fired a hostile projectile towards Abha airport.
The Arab coalition's spokesperson, Col. Turki al-Maliki, announced that coalition forces successfully intercepted and shot down the drone launched from Saada on Thursday morning. There were no casualties reported.
Al-Malki accused the Houthi militia of targeting civilians and continuing their immoral practices.

He added that the Iranian regime's support for the Houthi militia and their violation of Security Council resolutions had been proven by the continuation of such acts of terrorism and their high-quality capabilities.
On Wednesday, the coalition destroyed a Houthi drone launched from Yemen towards Saudi Arabia.
The militants from the then-capital city of Sanaa initiated the drone, which they took over in 2014, causing conflict with the government forces.

Al-Malki stated that their efforts to employ drones against Saudi Arabia would fail.
The militants have recently intensified their efforts to target the Kingdom, with the latest incidents being a part of their recent launch.
