Security authorities busted a gang of seven African expatriates in Riyadh and arrested all its members.

The gang was allegedly involved in 24 burglaries wherein its members stole copper cables and electric circuit breakers from warehouses in the Riyadh neighborhoods of Al-Selay, Al-Mashael, and Al-Aziziyah, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted Assistant Media Spokesman for Riyadh Police Maj. Khalid Al-Kreidis as stating Tuesday.

After carrying out the stealing, the burglars collected their booty in a vacant plot of land in Al-Selay neighborhood, east of the city, to extract copper from it.

A quantity of stolen goods worth SR800,000 were found in their possession. Maj. Al-Kreidis added that the gang members have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
