Saudi Arabia: Preparing to remove old white taxis from the streets
According to Saudi Public Transport, the green color for the airport taxi has been chosen to ’s identity. This is the Saudi flag color.

According to newspaper 24, green taxis will be introduced at all Saudi Arabia airports this year and feature the words 'Green Car' written in English on them.

Majid Al Zahrani, director general of transport announced that "old white bad taxis will soon be removed and replaced by new taxis". Additionally, new tax rules will apply to old taxis which remain in good condition.

Saudi Arabia first introduced limousines in 1979 according to 1400 AH and initially, they were yellow in color.

Later, the color of the limousine was lightened to suit Saudi Arabian desert conditions.

Engineer Zuhrhani recently told Al-Watan newspaper that taxis will soon be introduced as "green cars" by the Ministry of Transport and Public Transport Authority, giving these taxis new dates for operation.

Last Wednesday, Saudi Minister of Transport Saleh Al Jassar introduced an airport taxi. Soon all taxis in Saudi Arabia will have new identities.
