Saudi Arabia transfers Iranian citizen to Oman
An Iranian ship crew member previously evacuated from a vessel near the port of Hodeidah was transported to Oman by Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs verified that the Iranian individual was given medical treatment at specialized hospitals in Saudi Arabia before being transferred to Oman after his health improved.

The Iranian ship "Saviz" has a crew member who sustained severe injuries and was taken to a hospital in Jizan, as reported by a source. The ship has anchored northwest of Hodeidah City.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry requested the Swiss Embassy in Riyadh to transfer someone to Oman after their health improved, as confirmed by a Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs source.

The directives of King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman were followed in evacuating an Iranian citizen, providing him with medical attention, and transporting him to the Sultanate of Oman after his health improved.

The Kingdom assisted without politicization and responded to the appeal for help, despite the suspicious ship's threat to regional and international security and peace.

In June, Saudi Arabia received a request for help from Tehran and evacuated a crew member from a "suspect" Iranian ship northwest of Hodeidah for medical reasons. Tehran's request led to the Iranian being sent to Oman.
