Saudi king bodyguard killed in personal dispute
The personal bodyguard of King Salman of Saudi Arabia died in a personal disagreement.

Maj. Gen. Abdulaziz Al-Fagham was at the residence of his friend Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al-Sabti in Jeddah when Mamdouh Bin Mishaal Al-Ali, a mutual friend, arrived, according to a press release from the Makkah Police Department.

Al-Ali and Al-Fagham had a heated discussion according to the statement. According to Arab News sources, the conversation was focused on personal and financial issues.

Al-Ali departed and returned with a firearm, shooting and injuring the general, along with two others present: Turki Al-Sabti, the homeowner's brother, and a Filipino domestic worker.

Al-Ali was killed after resisting and firing at police officers when they arrived at the scene.

Al-Fagham died due to his injuries after being taken to the hospital. The Grand Mosque in Makkah hosted his funeral on Sunday evening.

The incident resulted in injuries to both Turki Al-Sabti and the Filipino domestic worker.

Both are reportedly stable, while five security officers were injured and are currently receiving treatment. The authorities are still conducting an investigation.
