This rule will come into force beginning from Sunday, June 29, 2020, according to a statement announced by an official source at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD).
The public sector units will abide by the preventive protocols put in place to combat the pandemic spread by instituting a flexible working timetable.
The public units should allow three different times for staff to punch in — 07:30 a.m., 08:30 a.m. and 09:30 a.m. (local time) — while non-attending employees shall work remotely, in addition to those highly vulnerable to contract the virus.
Employees of both public and private sectors will abide by the preventive and precautionary measures, and those in violation of these protocols would be penalized.
The penalties for each violations have been set forth, and shall be imposed on the offenders, the source reasserted. — SPA
