According to a Madina police spokesman, a man who opened fire on the police has been arrested.
The Saudi news agency SPA quoted a regional police spokesman as saying: "In Medina Manora, police received information that a person opened fire on a vehicle. When the driver of the car came down, he tried to crush it with his car and escaped on the spot.
Police immediately notified the patrol units as soon as the incident was reported and the area was cordoned off and the police soon reached the suspect.
According to the police statement, the accused is a Saudi citizen who is said to be 40 years old. During the operation, three policemen were injured and were shifted to the hospital.
