Qatar confirms 1,828 new corona cases
Another 1,828 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Qatar, taking the overall number of confirmed infections to 78,416, ministry of health reported on Saturday.

According to a statement, 1,956 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of patients recovered in Qatar to 55,252.

No new deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours, keeping the country’s death toll at 70.

The ministry stressed that there has been a small decrease in patients being admitted to intensive care thanks to the measures taken by the authorities to limit the spread of the virus.

As the pandemic sweeps across the world, Indian migrant workers in Qatar are saying they have faced problems, including job loss, lack of accommodation and food, have asked on Twitter for their embassy to help repatriate them.
