With a Saudi driving license, you can apply for an international driving license and drive in over 150 countries worldwide. This article is focused on the countries where a Saudi driving license is accepted as a valid document for driving.
Our attempt to create a complete list of countries that accept Saudi Driving licenses is ongoing. We could find only a few countries online where you can drive with your valid Saudi driving license without pursuing an international’s license.

The United Arab Emirates
The UAE tops the list of countries that accept valid Saudi driving licenses for driving cars. Saudi number plates are a common sight in the UAE, especially if you've been there before.
A valid driving license from Saudi Arabia allows driving in the UAE. Saudi nationals can use a Saudi driving license to obtain a UAE driving license.
Bahrain
Saudi Driving License is valid in Bahrain as well. King Fahad Causeway makes it easy for individuals with a Saudi driving license to go to Bahrain.
Those who have visited Bahrain would have noticed a significant number of cars with Saudi number plates. Having a valid driving license from Saudi Arabia allows residents to drive in Bahrain.
Kuwait
Saudi Driving License is accepted in Kuwait too. Possessing a driving license from Saudi Arabia makes travelling to Kuwait a breeze. Similarly, Kuwaiti citizens can drive in Saudi Arabia with their valid driving license.
Qatar
Qatar is among the countries where Saudi Driving License is recognized. Both Saudis and expatriates had the option to drive their cars to Qatar with a valid Saudi driving license in the past. Due to the Qatar blockage, Saudi citizens are currently prohibited from visiting Qatar.
The United Kingdom
According to my Saudi friend, he used his Saudi driving license to drive his car in the United Kingdom. The Saudi Driving License is valid in the United Kingdom, meaning it's on the list of accepted countries. On a Saudi driving license, you can only drive for 1 year. It will be necessary to have a UK driving license to drive in the UK after one year. Additionally, expatriates possessing a Saudi driving license are not eligible to use this facility.
Austria
Austria now recognizes the Saudi driver's license as valid. Saudi Driving License is accepted in Austria as well. Holders of Saudi driver's licenses are now permitted to drive their vehicles in Austria as the Austrian authorities have officially recognized their licenses.
