Saudi Arabia’s Jazan Heritage Village
Visitors can explore Jazan's history and lifestyle through a traditional mud hut, a mountain-suited home, and a house representing Farasan Island at Jazan Heritage Village.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, Jazan's Tourism Development Council has finished development work on Jazan Heritage Village in preparation for the 12th winter festival of the port city.

"Beautiful Jazan, Everyone's Winter Resort" is the slogan for an event happening at the heritage village on the southern corniche.

Moussa bin Ali Namis, the village director, explained that the development work involved enhancing green spaces and cultivating the plants that Jazan is famous for, constructing shops, and creating special pathways for visitors and individuals with special needs. In Jazan, cultural books authored by local writers and poets are now available in buildings and reading areas designed for relaxation.

According to him, the development work involved the establishment of a cinema showcasing movies and documentaries that introduce the region’s heritage and tourism to the audience.

Abdullah Al-Mudaimeigh, the chairman of Jazan Winter Festival's High Commission, was reported by him to be monitoring the progress of the village's development work.
