Six months in prison for speeding and 12 signal breaks
A Gulf citizen who drove at a high speed and broke 12 traffic signals has been sentenced to six months imprisonment by Sharjah's Criminal Court.

The accused has been charged with breaking 12 traffic signals at 160 km/h within the city, with police unable to stop them.  

 The driver who was driving at high speed in Sharjah fled the signal when traffic police officers tried to stop them, as per the newspaper ‘Emirates Today’.

While other police mobiles were also in pursuit, one police mobile chased the accused's vehicle. The suspect caused serious accidents in various places due to their dangerous driving.

The police chased the suspect and asked for more cell phones to force the suspect's vehicle to stop, but the suspect kept driving in highly hazardous conditions.

The police presented a challan in court stating that the accused had damaged 10 police mobiles when forced to stop. Shot at the car's tires, making it come to a halt.

Additionally, the challan mentioned that the accused had assaulted the police during the time of the arrest. While being preliminarily investigated, the accused admitted to speeding and breaking multiple traffic signals while driving from Ajman to Sharjah.

The accomplice of the accused, who was in the vehicle during the arrest but helped the police, was ordered by the court.
